I often feel bothered by bad smell just after the period. When and how often should I use LadyBalance?
LadyBalance exerts its effect within 24 hours, therefore you can use it just in the periods, where you experience bad smell, 1 tablet 1-2 times every 24 hours when the smell is serious, ½-1 when you just want to maintain the good smell. If you use it for longer periods, there is a higher likelihood that the smell does not reoccur, when you stop using LadyBalance.
Are you sure it’s safe to use LadyBalance?
LadyBalance is made of substances, that most of us eat every day. The membranes in the vagina is not very different from the ones in the digestive tract, so these compounds have been tested on human beings throughout the centuries. I have used it for 8 years without recognizing any adverse effects. Some of our testwomen have told about an disadvantage, which I have not experienced myself, namely a powdery discharge. You must control this by the dosage (eventually use only ½ tablet) or by using the tablet just before bedtime.
Is LadyBalance safe for a woman allergic to milk?
There are two different conditions leading to reduced tolerance to milk: lactose intolerance and milk protein allergy. Lactose intolerance is very common in most parts of the world and is due to the fact, that the lactose cannot be digested in the small intestine. Therefore it is metabolized by bacteria, which causes gas, un-ease and pain in the stomach. LadyBalance is intended to feed the bacteria. There are no problems in using LadyBalance for women with lactose intolerance. Allergy can lead to life-threatening conditions, if you are exposed to the causing compound, which is always a protein. Though LadyBalance primary consists of milk sugar, it can contain small amounts of milk protein. There is not sufficient knowledge to know, whether this can be absorbed from the vagina and give allergic reactions. Therefore LadyBalance should not be used by women allergic to milk protein.
Is it correct, that IUD with hormones often gives an infection with Gardnerella?
We have not seen good explanations of the cause, but the link is generally known. Bacterial vaginosis is very sensitive to the hormone balance in the body, so it makes sense that the application of hormones through the IUD can influence. We know that for some women a few treatments with LadyBalace are sufficient to push the balance back in equilibrium. One can imagine the opposite is also true – that if an impact pushes you out of balance – then the balance does not by itself return to the healthy equilibrium – unless you use an effective treatment.
