LadyBalance - When It's Time for a Change of Course

Considering a change in your life? If you struggle with recurring intimate issues, it may be worth taking a closer look at the lifestyle factors that, according to research, influence the risk of vaginal flora imbalance.

Lifestyle and Bacterial Vaginosis - What Does the Research Say?

A large Australian study showed a clear connection between certain lifestyle choices and the risk of developing bacterial vaginosis (BV). According to the researchers, there are both protective and risk-enhancing factors that can affect whether the vaginal balance is maintained or disrupted.

Protective factors:

  • Steady sexual partner
  • Use of birth control pills
  • Use of condoms

Risk-enhancing factors:

  • Multiple and changing sexual partners
  • Smoking, drug use, and high alcohol consumption
  • Sexual activity with female partners - the study showed a 230% higher risk
  • Use of intrauterine device (IUD)

LadyBalance and Changes in Legislation

In March 2021, it became no longer permitted to market LadyBalance intimate tablets as treatment for bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, or dryness. This is due to stricter documentation requirements – not changes to the product. The tablets are now sold as a hygiene product without health claims, but the formula remains the same.

Still Available – Just Not at Matas

You may have noticed that Matas previously marketed the product as Medicare vaginal tablets. These tablets were identical to LadyBalance. However, Matas chose to discontinue the cooperation when the marketing regulations changed. You can still purchase the original LadyBalance intimate tablets from our webshop.

If You Don’t Change Habits - LadyBalance Can Still Support You

Not everyone wants or is able to change their lifestyle. Luckily, LadyBalance still exists. Intimate tablets with milk sugar support the vagina’s natural lactobacilli and help restore the natural balance.
